Go Beyond Building Awareness

Connect with your audience.

The most important part of any video production is the connection you create between you and your audience.  Before you go out and create your video, think about what you want to accomplish.  Using video is an effective way to:

  • Grow Awareness
  • Attract Volunteers & Donors
  • Help the people that need it the most

To create a successful video or videos for your cause, there are a couple key points you can't miss.

  1. You need to put a face on your cause.  People tend to help other people, not causes.  The personal stories of others are much more powerful than any statistics.
  2. You can't be afraid to be vulnerable.  Getting in front of the camera and sharing personal stories may be awkward, but your cause is important and your story must be heard.
  3. Don't forget to share your successes and to thank the people that aided in that success.
  4. It's okay to have some fun.  Share the moments that make you smile.

We were lucky enough to be given the chance to produce a video for Autism Families CONNECTicut.  When an organization such as this comes along with a powerful message that needs to be heard, a video is easy to make.  Watch their video to learn about the impact they continue to have on hundreds of families around Connecticut.
